futz f&ts v.i. To tinker experimentally; to change something just to see what it does

I designed a simple PC board for the Microchip MCP2200 in Eagle and had some boards made at DorkbotPDX. They turned out really nice. This chip is a preprogrammed version of Microchip's PIC18F14K50. As well as being a good serial converter, it also has eight GPIO pins.

The board is definitely lar...

I'm posting some code here for Drizza on YouTube. Much of the original page text was lost, but I have the images and some text. So here's what I have.

I built the circuit on a dipmicro electronics PB1 proto board. Excellent little boards for building small one-off projects.

In these images I'm...

So I wanted to buy a Macetech ChronoDot but they were constantly out of stock. So I drew up something similar and had some boards made. They work great.

Mine uses a CR2032 cell rather than the smaller CR1632 that the ChronoDot uses. I use the bigger cell because I get my battery holders off old...

So I drew up a board for the Silicon Labs CP2102 chip and made all the improvements I wished I had done on the CP2101 board. Great little ICs. I drew the board much more compact this time and left off the unnecessary extra pads. Once again I had the boards made at DorkbotPDX and as usual they came...

I designed a PC board in Eagle for the Silicon Labs CP2101 USB-to-UART Serial Converter chip. These are awesome little ICs. Very simple to use. Had the boards made at DorkbotPDX, and as usual they came out pretty good.

(NOTE: This chip has been discontinued. I built a board for their newer CP210...
